Culture is an integral part of education. Along with academics and sports, cultural activities form an essential part for the comprehensive development of an individual.
Hyperion: The cultural society of P.G.D.A.V College (M) is a constituent unit of the Cultural Council of Delhi University. Hyperion is the umbrella society of P.G.D.A.V college constituting under itself all the cultural societies of the college.
Hyperion is responsible for organizing annual cultural events such as EXPLORANZA and AAGHAZ. Apart from that Hyperion has been tapping and bringing out the talent of our students in various fields.
AAGHAZ is the annual cultural fest of P.G.D.A.V (M) which is organized by Hyperion under the guidance of faculty members and the assistance of sub societies. Under this students and societies from various colleges are encouraged to participate in the events being held by each society.
AAGHAZ provides an equal and fair chance to each and every participant to showcase their skills.
EXPLORANZA is the talent hunt which is organized on yearly basis for the freshers of P.G.D.A.V (M) where all the newbies are given a chance to present their forte in front of the societies under different competitions being held by them. Winners of various events are also rewarded for their performances in EXPLORANZA.
Apart from these HYPERION takes the responsibility to ensure smooth running of the cultural societies and actively works to attract sponsors so as to organize many more fun and interactive activities. The members of various societies under Hyperion participate in various competition outside college premises being organized by other institutes
A committee of faculty and students is constituted at the beginning of every academic year. Elected representatives monitor the proper functioning of the society.
PGDAV college is one of the premiere institutes of Delhi University. As many of you must be knowing already, my principalship has just started but the heritage of this esteemed position goes decades back.
