The Dance Society

Diversity is the dance society at P.G.D.A.V College (Morning), where we celebrate the rich and varied traditions of Indian dance. We have three teams that specialize in different dance forms: NATRAJ for classical dance, SPUNK for western dance, and JALSA for folk dance. We aim to promote the cultural diversity and artistic excellence of our students through our performances and events. Our society is open to all students who have a passion for dance and want to learn new skills and techniques. We also organize workshops, competitions, and festivals to showcase our talents and interact with other dance enthusiasts. We believe that dance is a form of expression that transcends boundaries and brings people together. Join us and be a part of our vibrant and diverse community.

NATRAJ is the Classical Dance Society at P.G.D.A.V(M) College. We are a group of enthusiastic and talented dancers who share a love for classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi. We perform at various events and competitions, showcasing the elegance, grace and dynamism of these ancient dance styles. We try our best to spread awareness and appreciation for classical dance among the students and the society. We believe that classical dance is not only a form of entertainment, but also a medium of education, empowerment and enlightenment. It is an art that challenges us to explore our potential, to refine our skills and to express ourselves creatively.

Our society is popular for the street styles we perform such as hip hop, whacking, Afro, house, dancehall etc. Dancers enter society with the ability to maintain the uncompromising high standards nurtured during their dance training. Creative thinking skills are developed through dance, as well as learning the value of discipline, commitment and work ethic. In every fest season we leave our mark in the Delhi Dance Circuit. We have performed in a huge number of competitions all over india and made a reputed name in DU. When it comes to making the audience dance along we never fails to surprise them with our elegance.

College is not just a society but a family, it brings together everyone to dance, enjoy and have the time of their lives. It is a place where people can be themselves and forget all their worries when the beats roll on Dhol. It is a place to feel free, alive and to fall in love to the rythm of pure joy. Every occasion & wedding is incomplete without Punjabi songs and bhangra moves. We have participated in many events and cultural activities and we have also represented our college at IIT level.
